Just after midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 12, Nederland, Port Neches and Groves Fire departments responded to a house on fire in the 200 block of 17th Street in Nederland.
The occupant evacuated the building as firefighters arrived, according to a press release from the Nederland Fire Department.
All firefighters called out to the scene reported back to the station safely.
The house fire is still being investigated.
