Thursday, Oct. 20, the Clergy and Police Partnership (CAPP) from the Beaumont Police Department will host a forum at 7 p.m. “to promote understanding and unity (across) every area of our city,” according to a recent announcement.

The event flyer also says it is “an opportunity to learn, exchange ideas and find solutions to challenges that face our neighborhoods.” The theme is, “It’s our community, let’s keep talking.”

The event comes after a recent shooting involving an off-duty officer, as reported by The Examiner.

The community forum will be held at Trinity Church on I-10 North.

Anyone interested in attending can contact Sgt. Cody Guedry at (409) 880-3825 or jguedry@beaumonttexas.gov.
