One of President George W. Bush’s daughters will speak in Beaumont this
fall.
Jenna Bush Hager will be the main speaker at YWCA’s Gala fundraiser Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. at the MCM Eleganté Hotel and Conference Center. She is a contributing correspondent to NBC’s Today Show, an editor-at-large for Southern Living Magazine, founder of The Novo Project and chair for UNICEF’s Next Generation.
Hager interned for UNICEF in Panama toward the end of her father’s
presidency.
Habitat for Humanity is partnering with YWCA for the gala, but more community sponsorships are also available.
Alice Felix Ramsey and Elise Fulton Smith are the gala chairpersons.
YWCA’s mission is “to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families and strengthen communities,” according to the group’s Facebook page.
