Beaumont Fire-Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 4600 block of Dallas
Street on Wednesday, Oct. 12, around 2:15 a.m.

Firefighters arriving on the scene found the flames coming through the roof of the home. They made a quick attack and extinguished the fire, confining the damage to one area of the roof and the room directly below.

Beaumont Police Department reports no one was home at the time of the fire, which appears to have been caused by an electrical short in the wall.

Two firefighters suffered minor burns while fighting the fire and were treated on the scene by Beaumont EMS.
