The Explore God discussion group is meeting at Sertinos Café near Parkdale Mall on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. through the end of this month into November.
Explore God is an Austin-based program intended to spark dialogue and allow the wider community space to ask questions that can’t be asked in the middle of a church service. The group welcomes people from all backgrounds.
Mary McElhaney and her husband JD are some of the discussion leaders.
“At Explore God, we seek to create humble, authentic conversations around some of life’s big questions,” she explained.
Since they’ve been meeting, the group has welcomed as many as 20 guests, but has five to eight regular attendees.
