A Vidor resident came home from work to find three people breaking into the home, Vidor Police said.

The burglary happened in the 500 block of Pine Burr Street in Vidor Wednesday, Nov. 9, around 5:14 p.m. Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll said in a news release.

The homeowner described the three suspects as a white man, a black man, and a black woman. The suspects fled on foot, and the woman, a 17-year-old, was caught by a bystander who saw the homeowner chasing the suspects down the road.

When Vidor Police officers responded to the call reporting a burglary in progress, they arrested Kamryn Darnell Oliver.

Vidor Police officers also received information of the whereabouts of the other two suspects and investigated a home on Kent Street. They discovered several items reported stolen from previous burglaries in the area, Carroll said.

The Vidor Police Department is currently investigating multiple burglaries that “have plagued the area around Kent Street,” according to the news release.

Anyone with information regarding these burglaries is asked to call the Vidor
Police Department at (409) 769-4561.
