Beaumont police are investigating a shooting in a neighborhood near Lamar University.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 900 block of Bingman Drive Sunday, Nov. 13. about 6:11 p.m., according to Beaumont Police spokesperson Officer Haley Morrow.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition. Witnesses stated that a gold Cadillac SUV with aftermarket rims was seeing leaving the scene shortly after the incident.
Beaumont Police detectives have arrested Carnell Beard, a 41-year-old Beaumont man. He has been charged with aggravated assault and is being held without bond.
