An Orange man suffered serious head injuries after a high speed motorcycle crash Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The one-vehicle motorcycle crash on Hoo Hoo Road near Highway 62 in Orange County was reported Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 8:40 p.m., Texas DPS Sgt. Stephanie David said in a news release.
A Suzuki motorcycle was traveling westbound on Hoo Hoo Road when the motorcyclist entered a curve at a high rate of speed and lost control, skidding off the roadway. The motorcycle struck a concrete culvert and landed in a ditch.
The motorcyclist, Devin Tyler, 25, of Orange, was ejected from his motorcycle and suffered serious head injuries.
Tyler was transported by ambulance to Christus St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet.
