Officers were called to the 5100 block of Gober Road for a reported stabbing Thursday, Nov. 24, Beaumont Police said in a news release.
Officers determined that a physical altercation led up to the man being stabbed.
Anthony Bernard, 31, of Beaumont, was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are still investigating the incident, although they have already taken statements from witnesses on scene, Beaumont Police said in a news release.

After the investigation is complete, the case will be forwarded to a grand jury for potential indictment.
