Police identify body found at Beaumont Rice Mills on Halloween

Beaumont Police revealed the identity of the body found on Halloween at Beaumont Rice Mills.

Detectives identified the body found inside an exhaust fan at Beaumont Rice Mills, located in the 1800 block of Pecos Road near MLK Boulevard and Calder Avenue, Beaumont Police spokesperson Haley Morrow said in a news release.

The man is Louis Stevens, 47, of Beaumont.

Morrow said detectives are still waiting for the final autopsy report to determine Steven’s cause of death. The Jefferson County Morgue is conducting the autopsy, according to a prior news release.
