Two game rooms in Beaumont and Port Arthur were robbed at gunpoint over the Christmas holidays.
The first robbery happened at 12:16 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25 at K. C.’s Game Room, located in the 3400 block of Twin City Highway, Port Arthur Police said in a news release.
Three people, one armed with a gun, approached a man leaving the game room.
“The suspects threatened the victim and robbed him of personal property,” Port Arthur Police said. “Officers quickly arrived in the area and were able to apprehend a male juvenile subject with evidence on his person. He was arrested at that time. The other two suspects are currently at large.”
No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
The second robbery happened at 9:08 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26 at the Goliad Game Room, located in the 2900 block of Goliad Street, Beaumont Police said.
A man knocked on the door of the game room, and when someone cracked the door open to talk to him, the man pulled out a gun as they tried to close the door, pushed his way inside and held them at gunpoint, Beaumont Police spokesperson Officer Carol Riley said in a news release.
Eyewitnesses told police that the suspect was a black man with light to medium complexion, about 5 foot 6 to 8 inches tall, in his early 30s with a small goatee on his chin. The man was wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun.
“He was able to get a large sum of cash and flee south on Goliad,” Riley said.
Witnesses also gave officers a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
Beaumont police released surveillance photos of the alleged suspects.
No arrests have been made at this time.
