Set Free Beaumont’s Celebrate Recovery rummage sale will be Saturday, March 11, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Celebrate Recovery ministry. Set Free Beaumont hosts weekly Celebrate Recovery gatherings after church services on Saturday nights at 6 p.m. as well as programs inside the Southeast Texas prison system.

Celebrate Recovery is an alternative 12-step recovery program started in 1990 by Pastor John Baker of Saddleback Church in California and is now a “worldwide curriculum,” according to the event announcement.

Event organizer Alea Hamilton said that funds raised will be used to bring the Celebrate Recovery program to more people “throughout Southeast Texas, including incarcerated individuals.”

“Celebrate Recovery exists as a safe place to help families and individuals in the Greater Beaumont area break free from their hurts, hang-ups and habits,” Hamilton said.

Set Free Beaumont is located at the Christ Community Church campus at 415 South 11th Street in Beaumont.
