One person was hurt after a car drove into a Beaumont hair salon Wednesday morning,
The accident happened just after 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9 at Salon West in the 7100 block of Phelan Boulevard, Beaumont Fire-Rescue said.
The 81-year-old driver was parking outside the salon when her foot slopped off the break and hit the accelerator, firefighters said. The car went through the front wall of the building.
The driver was not injured, but a 63-year-old customer sitting in the salon’s waiting room was hit, injuring her right leg.
The 63-year-old customer was treated at the scene of the accident by Beaumont EMS and taken to the hospital.
Although the building’s front wall and door was significantly damaged, Salon West was able to stay open using the building’s back door.
