Two different men from Sulphur, Louisiana were arrested and charged with sexually abusing children that they knew in their families or communities in October.
One case was reported in January and the other case in March, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
A victim told detectives Jan. 24 that a family acquaintance, Luke Daigle, 51, of Sulphur had inappropriate sexual contact with her on more than one occasion when she was about 11 years old. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Jacob Dore was the lead investigator assigned to this case. Judge Guy Bradberry signed a warrant on May 8 for $50,000 for Daigle’s arrest, but law enforcement was not able to find him.
Daigle was caught and arrested on Oct. 27, booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with four counts of incident behavior with a juvenile.
Another 10-year-old victim came forward and reported on March 27 that a family member, Christopher Vincent, 27, of Sulphur, had inappropriate sexual contact with her on more than one occasion between 2014 and 2017. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Michelle Robinson is the lead investigator in that case. Judge David Ritchie signed a warrant in the amount of $150,000 for Vincent’s arrest.
Vincent was found, arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on Oct. 27. He is charged with first-degree rape.
Judge Ritchie set conditions on Vincent’s bond that include no contact with the victim and no unsupervised contact with any minor children.
