Six people are displaced from their home and three family pets died in a house fire in Beaumont’s North End Sunday night.

The fire was reported 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12 in the 4300 block of Galveston Street, Beaumont Fire-Rescue Captain Jimmy Blanchard said in a news release posted to the department’s Facebook page.

Firefighter crews were able to quickly put out the fire. Beaumont EMS, Beaumont Police, and Beaumont Animal Care also responded to the scene.

The home was declared a total loss, displacing the six people who lived there, Blanchard said. Three family pets did not survive the fire.

The people who lived in the home and all firefighters involved were not injured by the fire.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be accidental, Blanchard said.
