The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man just outside Fannett for online solicitation of a minor Monday, Nov. 27, Captain Crystal Holmes said in a news release.

Kirt Vavasseur, 32, of Beaumont was taken to the Jefferson County Jail without incident, Holmes said, pending bond for the felony charge.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and District Attorney’s Office staff were assisting investigators from the Jones Creek Marshall’s Office in executing a search and arrest warrant.

The investigators went to a residence in the 8200 block of Fairway Drive in Jefferson County near Fannett, where they found Vavasseur, Holmes said.
