The City of Beaumont hired Cleanserve LLC to assist with the Citywide Sanitary Sewer Evaluation, Beaumont water utilities designer Derek Richard said in a news release.

Cleanserve, LLC will begin to clean and evaluate sewer lines throughout the city Monday, Nov. 27. This announcement comes after Beaumont lost water for more than a week starting at midnight August 31, after Tropical Storm Harvey brought unprecedented flooding.

“This process is essential in helping the City of Beaumont identify cost effective methods to rehabilitate defective manholes and sewer lines,” Richard said.

Before work begins on any sewer lines, Cleanserve, LLC will let residents know crews will be working in their neighborhood by putting door hangers in places where work is about to happen.
