The new section of Northwest Parkway connecting Old Dowlen Road to the Parkdale Mall Loop opened at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, City of Beaumont roadway designer Chace Mann said in a news release.
“The remaining section of Northwest Parkway from Old Dowlen Road to Major Drive is still under construction and will remain closed until construction is complete,” Mann said.
City officials said that schedules for construction, maintenance, and repairs are all subject to change, including extensions and delays due to weather and other factors.
The City of Beaumont also asked that motorists be aware of all detour signs and advance warnings around the new roadway and to proceed with caution.
