Beaumont police are investigating after a man was shot in the stomach at a gas station in the city’s South End.
The shooting happened at 5:42 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 at the M&M Express, located at 1397 Washington Boulevard, Beaumont Police said in a news release.
A 57-year-old Beaumont man told police officers who responded to the scene that he was standing outside the store and speaking with an employee when they heard several gunshots and looked to see where they were coming from. Then the man realized that he had been shot in his abdomen.
Beaumont Police detectives are interviewing any witnesses that were in the area at the time of the shooting.
