A 911 caller in North Jefferson County said two men came to her door and claimed to be police officers serving a warrant.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call around 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, Deputy Marcus McLellan said in a news release. The call came from a house on Patna Drive near Nato Road, a neighborhood northwest of South Pine Island and southwest of Sour Lake in Beaumont.
The 911 caller said one of the men was wearing a bulletproof vest when they knocked on her door. She asked them if they were undercover officers, and they said they were. The men said they were at the caller’s home to serve a warrant on JJ. She told them that no one lived there by that name, and the men left.
The woman who lived there said the suspects’ car was a black Chrysler 300.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies found the suspects’ car nearby and did a traffic stop. When they searched the car, they found two pistols, a police bulletproof vest and a small amount of marijuana.
