13 cars have been broken into in Groves in just one week, police said.
Seven vehicle burglaries were reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive on Saturday, Dec. 16, Groves Police Department spokesperson Lauren Edgar said in a weekly report.
A thief took a lunch box, Motiva badge, TWIC card, moisture reader and medication after breaking into a car Monday, Dec. 18 in the 5500 block of Garfield Avenue, the victim told Groves Police.
On the same day, a pink wallet was reported stolen from another car in the 5900 block of Georgia Street.
The next day, Tuesday, Dec. 19, two more cars were broken into in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive and a third vehicle burglary was reported in the 5400 block of Gulfway Drive. In a fourth incident, a man’s wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the 6100 block of Gulfway Drive.
