Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy rescues treed cat in China

A Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy held out a helping hand to a cat caught
in a tree just before Christmas, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release posted on Facebook Dec. 22.

Deputy Daniel Powell rescued the gray feline in a neighborhood in China, Deputy Marcus McLellan said in the news release.

“No need to call the fire department,” McLellan said. “Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Powell to the rescue!”
