The Port Arthur Drivers License Office will be operating at reduced capacity due to recent staff turnover, The Texas Department of Public Safety said in a news release.
“[We] will adjust resources at nearby offices to operate the Port Arthur office at reduced capacity to continue services to the community,” Texas DPS said. “Once replacement permanent staff are hired and trained in the coming months, we anticipate the office will resume normal operations.”
Anyone who is looking to find another location to renew their drivers license while the Port Arthur office is operating at reduced capacity can search drivers license ofice location and hours at www.dps.texas.gov.
The drivers license offices in Orange and Beaumont will also be available to help Port Arthur residents.
You can also renew your drivers license or Texas identification card one year early before the expiration date, allowing you to choose a convenient time that fits your schedule, Texas DPS said.
